The Clippers and the Trailblazers played a wild game last night in Portland. It was a clash between two of the best teams in the West and they totally delivered what was expected. For the most of the game Portland was on the front seat position, but LAC never gave up and took the lead in the final minutes.
Chis Paul almost single handedly won the game for the Clippers by scoring the last 8 points in the final 2 minutes, but Batum answered Paul heroics by hitting a huge three to tie the game with 5 seconds left. Paul had the chance to finish the Trailblazers, but his shot went in-and-out of the rim and the game went to overtime.
Lamarcus stepped up for Portland and scored 7 points in OT, which helped them to win a huge one at their home court. The star players were on show tonight and almost everyone put huge numbers in the stat sheet. CP3 finished with 36 pts/16 ast/3 reb/6 stl, Griffin had 35p ts/11 reb/1 ast and on the other side Lamarcus went for 32 pts/10 reb/4 ast. One of the turning points was that Chris Paul went scoreless in OT and that was mainly because coach Stotts switched Batum (6’8”) on Paul (6’0”) late in regulation. It seems that this forced Paul to miss the final shot and go 0-2 in OT.
